Are you an experienced production leader ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a Production Lead Supervisor to take a hands-on leadership role in guiding the production operations, driving team performance and ensuring excellence at every stage of the process, on behalf of one our clients in the manufacturing industry.
In this senior supervisory role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the production floor. You’ll not only lead your team to hit performance targets—you’ll also take on additional responsibilities around process improvement, compliance and cross-departmental coordination.
Location: Naas, Co. KildareType of Role: Full-Time, Permanent role | €20/hour + Additional Responsibilities Allowance
Shifts: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the production team, ensuring all targets for output, quality, and efficiency are consistently achieved.Work closely with the Plant Manager to manage resources, shift planning, and minimise overtime where possible.
Attend and contribute to daily production meetings, swiftly resolving issues and escalating where appropriate.
Supervise employee timekeeping, attendance, leave, and performance.
Delegate tasks effectively to meet output goals, while minimising waste and improving yield.
Monitor daily production and quality data, ensuring compliance with standards and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Ensure strict adherence to health & safety, hygiene, and quality control protocols—including CCP and SOPs.
Own the implementation and review of SOPs, making sure they reflect best practices and are understood by all team members.
Conduct staff training, appraisals, and performance reviews in collaboration with HR.
Promote effective communication across shifts and departments to maintain a seamless flow of materials and information.
Identify and implement process improvements, suggest new initiatives, and support continuous improvement projects.
Ensure workspaces and equipment are clean, safe, and maintained in accordance with internal procedures.
Act as a key liaison between production, maintenance, and management to quickly resolve technical or operational issues.
What You Bring to the Role:
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire a production team.In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality systems.
Comfortable using production management software and tools such as Excel and Word.
Excellent communication, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrated ability to drive performance, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.
Previous experience in a supervisory or lead role is essential.
Ability to take initiative, work independently, and lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
Background in food, FMCG, or a regulated manufacturing environment is desirable.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies is desirable.
Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and safety auditing is desirable.
