Process Development Engineer

A medical device client in Cork is looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join their team on a 12-month hourly rate contract. This role will support multiple projects involving large automation equipment being used to assemble and test medical devices.
Responsible for improving and supporting medical device manufacturing through new product introduction, process improvements, production support, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance plans for equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance. Manage maintenance schedules and solve equipment issues.
- Process Improvement: Identify and lead projects to improve product quality, efficiency, and reduce costs. Support investigations and regulatory submissions related to processes.
- Production Support: Install new equipment, design tooling, and define maintenance needs. Improve production flow and create standard work instructions.
- New Product Introduction: Lead the process development for new products, ensuring efficient manufacturing and meeting project timelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical device regulations (ISO, EU, FDA).
