Senior Tax Accountant

Our client, a highly regarded and well-established accountancy firm based in Cork City, is looking to add a motivated Senior Tax Accountant to their expanding tax division. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a varied client base, tackle complex tax issues, and play a key role in the continued success of a dynamic and growing team.
About the Role
In this position you'll provide end-to-end corporate tax compliance and advisory services to a broad range of clients, from SMEs and large indigenous companies to multinational corporations. You'll be a vital part of the team, responsible for:
- Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.
- Managing timely submission of tax returns to Revenue.
- Advising on corporate tax matters, including planning, restructuring, and cross-border transactions.
- Identifying tax-saving opportunities and crafting tailored client solutions.
- Acting as a liaison with the Revenue Commissioners.
- Staying current with changes in Irish tax law and case developments.
- Developing strong, trust-based relationships with clients.
- Assisting with tax audits and Revenue investigations.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members (as applicable).
- Contributing to the ongoing growth and development of the tax team.
- An Irish tax qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent).
- At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in corporate tax, ideally in a practice setting.
- A strong grasp of Irish corporate tax legislation and compliance processes.
- Experience preparing and reviewing complex tax computations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Confident communication skills, able to explain complex tax matters in a clear, client-friendly way.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, both independently and within a team.
