Location: Tullamore, Co. Offaly
Salary: €18.80 per hour (Double pay on Sundays & Bank Holidays)
We are seeking an experienced Hospital Chef to join our team in Tullamore, Co. Offaly. This role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities with flexible working hours, from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday to Sunday. As a Hospital Chef, you will play an essential role in preparing and serving nutritious meals for patients, directly contributing to their well-being with your culinary expertise.
Key Responsibilities:Meal Preparation: Create and serve meals that meet patient dietary needs, ensuring they receive nutritious, balanced meals.
Menu Development: Work closely with healthcare teams to develop and create menus tailored to dietary specifications.
Kitchen Oversight: Lead kitchen staff, manage food storage, and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including HACCP.
Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels, sourcing quality ingredients, and manage costs to meet budget goals.
Food Safety: Maintain stringent hygiene standards and follow proper food handling practices in accordance with health regulations.
Skills and Qualifications: QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or an equivalent qualification is essential.
Experience in a healthcare catering setting is an advantage.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
In-depth knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and health regulations.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
A valid driver’s license is preferred.
