Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician - Shift - Pharmaceutical Industry

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shift Maintenance Technician to join our Dublin based, pharmaceutical clients team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of production equipment, minimising downtime, and maintaining compliance with GMP and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation-related issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in line with GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure smooth operational performance.
• Assist with equipment installation, validation, and commissioning as required.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
• Participate in shift-based operations, including planned and unplanned maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a maintenance role within a pharmaceutical, FMCG, or highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control systems.
• Experience working with GMP-compliant systems and documentation.
• Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting and automation systems is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, shift-based role.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with Chemical/power press equipment and packaging equipment is advantageous.
