Application Details
Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.
You can register your interest by selecting the ‘Register your interest’ button or you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.
Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Kare Caretaker/Groundsperson Worker required – CE SchemeThis is a developmental opportunity for a reliable person who wants to further their job prospects.
- No experience necessary.
- Based in Kare Newbridge, Co. Kildare but work in Kare
- 19.5 hours per week.
- A full driver’s licence is preferable but not essential.
- General gardening and outdoor maintenance; weeding and grass/hedge
cutting, power washing, assisting in day-to-day minor repairs and maintenance
in properties.- To operate and maintain light duty garden machinery/tools e.g. lawn mower.
- To attend any necessary training in and out of house.
- In addition to your responsibilities, you may be required to undertake other
tasks assigned to you by the Line Manager.
