We are seeking a qualified Accountant with strong analytical skills, and a desire to contribute to work that makes a real difference. Osborne is proud to partner with a leading national charity to recruit an Accountant for their Dublin-based team.

Location: Dublin 1Contract: Permanent
Salary: €60,000 + DOE
The Accountant Role:Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Accountant play a key role in the delivery of an efficient, compliant, and collaborative finance function.
Assisting with the daily operations of the finance departmentPreparing and reviewing monthly financial reports, including budget variance analysis
Supporting corrective action across departments where needed
Overseeing debtor and creditor management and reporting
Managing cashflow for both revenue and capital budgets
Preparing information for internal and external audits
Assisting in the development and planning of annual budgets
Monitoring financial performance linked to service level agreements
Managing financial aspects of capital projects including RCT and VAT compliance
Preparing annual accounts in line with SORP for charities
Ensuring internal financial controls are followed and enhanced where appropriate
Supporting the Head of Finance with returns and management accounts
Reporting on agreed internal and external KPIs
Promoting best practice in procurement, value for money, risk management and operational efficiency
The Ideal Accountant:
Professionally qualified accountant and member of a recognised accountancy bodyMinimum of two years’ experience in finance or management accounting
Strong financial analysis, budgeting and reporting skills
Confident in building positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Strong IT and systems skills, particularly in financial software and Excel
Experience with SORP or charity accounts is desirable but not essential
