Companion/Carer Needed – 3 Hours Daily – Friendly 87-Year-Old Lady

We are looking for a kind, caring, and reliable companion to spend time with an independent-minded 87-year-old woman in her own home.

Details:

• Location: Grange, Cork
• Hours: Monday to Thursday, 10:30am – 13:30 (3 hours/day)
• Rate: €15 per hour
• Start date: May

About the role:

This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys conversation, outings, and making a real difference. The role involves:

• Keeping her company and keeping her mentally stimulated
• Taking her out for a spin in the car, for coffee, or to the occasional class or activity
• Assisting her as needed – she uses a walking stick and a wheelchair for longer distances
• Providing a bit of gentle support to help maintain her independence

Ideal person:

• Friendly, patient, and good-humoured
• Must have a full driving licence and own car
• Some experience with elderly care (formal or informal) would be ideal
• Someone who truly enjoys spending time with people
