Senior Financial Accountant - Hybrid - Cork - Permanent
Job Description:
Morgan McKinley have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join the finance team of our client, a global technology leader in Cork. As the Financial Accountant, you will report to the Financial Controller.
The ideal professional will be a qualified accountant with at least 3 years' experience within a finance role responsible for multiple entities. An innovative and curious individual who can calmly work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.In this role, you will play a key part in the financial operations of the organisation, supporting month-end processes, financial reporting, and compliance across multiple regions. Excellent communication and presentation skills is a must in addition to strong analytical skills and ERP system experience.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss reports, and ensure accurate reconciliations.
- Monitor and analyse financial data, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
- Oversee the processing and reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for audits and collaborate with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant tax regulations.
- Preparation of VAT and other tax filings, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
- Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions as needed.
- Collaborate with the finance team on tax filings, financial analysis, and strategic projects.
- Document and improve accounting processes, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Provide financial reports and analysis to support business decision-making and performance tracking.
- Assist in various ad-hoc tasks and projects to support the finance department and company objectives.
Qualifications:
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA qualified with 3 years industry experience.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders.
