We are currently recruiting a qualified and experienced Male Social Care Worker to provide 1:1 support to a male service users in Galway. This individual presents with neurodiverse needs and complex mental health challenges, requiring a dedicated, skilled, and compassionate professional who can provide structured and therapeutic support.

Key Responsibilities: Provide consistent 1:1 person-centred support tailored to the individual’s needs, preferences, and goals.
Implement and maintain structured daily routines and therapeutic interventions.Promote independence, life skills development, and community participation.
Work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and family where appropriate.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with policies and regulatory standards.
Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using approved techniques.
Ensure the safety, dignity, and rights of the individual at all times.
Essential Criteria: Degree in Social Care, Psychology, or a related field.
Full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.Male applicants only (in accordance with the specific needs and preferences of the individual supported).
Experience supporting individuals with neurodiversity (e.g., autism, ADHD) and mental health conditions.
Certification in Studio 3 or another recognised positive behaviour support/intervention model
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and adapt to changing situations
Commitment to promoting dignity, inclusion, and empowerment
Desirable: Experience working in a community-based or outreach role
Familiarity with safeguarding policies and HIQA standardsFirst Aid and Manual Handling certificates (training can be provided) .
