Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Dairy Farm Assistant to join our team at [DAVID FARRELL. The successful

candidate will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of a dairy farm, ensuring the health and productivity of

the herd while maintaining high farm standards.

Key Responsibilities:

✔️ Milking cows and managing the milking process efficiently

✔️ Monitoring animal health, detecting signs of mastitis, and lame cow.

✔️ Feeding, watering, and managing the nutrition of dairy cattle

✔️ Operating and maintaining farm machinery, including tractors, feeders, and milking equipment

✔️ Assisting in calving, calf rearing, and general herd management

✔️ Cleaning and maintaining sheds, yards, and milking parlors

✔️ Following biosecurity and hygiene protocols to ensure animal welfare and milk quality

✔️ General farm maintenance and fencing

Requirements:

✅ Minimum 2 years of experience in dairy farming

✅ Basic English language skills for communication and safety compliance

✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

✅ Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends when required

Academic qualification: Not required
