The CECAS Manager will take the lead on the majority of the administrative work involved in managing the centre’s activities, such as employing and managing staff, paying invoices and booking and running events.
About CECAS:Green Skibbereen is a not for profit company which operates CECAS (based in Myross Wood House in Leap, Co Cork), as a multi-functional community-based centre for climate action and sustainability. We run events, rent out workspaces and meeting rooms and provide short stay residential accommodation, as well as running a number of projects in our 30 acres of community gardens and woodland.

Role & Responsibilities:The initial job title of the employee will be the following: Administrator (Part Time)
The initial job duties the Employee will be expected to perform will be the following:
Dealing with post, responding to general email enquiries and passing on to the relevant Director/Staff Member as required
Taking bookings for room hire, events and group accommodation bookings
Creating and issuing quotes for events
Advertising events, room hire and group accommodation
Raising and issuing invoices and tracking payments on Brightbooks
Working with Directors and third parties on event organisation and costings
Producing information for relevant staff on forthcoming events such as room lists, schedules and event plans
Updating the shared Google Calendar
Updating social media as required (Facebook and Instagram)
Producing event updates for the website using Ticket Tailor
Produce reports as required
Other tasks as may be commensurate with the job title and description
The Administrator will be required to attend staff meetings with other members of staff when appropriate.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Green Skibbereen are looking for someone to join our small team working at CECAS in Leap. The ideal candidate will have: Excellent organisational skills
Great communication skillsGood general IT skills
Experience of using Google Docs and Google Sheets on a shared drive or similar
Good standard of English language in both written and spoken work (first language or relevant qualification)
Proven ability to work independently and without direct supervision
Ability to plan work and meet deadlines
Ability to use social media for event organisation
